What's a
Collegiate Partnership Box?
One of the most successful ways that PJT has been able to benefit our producer partners is through the sale of Partnership Boxes. These are boxes that individuals and faith or student groups purchase to sell as a fundraiser or simply as a way to support Fair Trade and social justice. Many groups use the boxes for market-like sales at events or for their religious congregations.
Not
only does it help producers, but it also
provides
an alternative for
folks who might normally shop at big box stores
that carry items produced in
sweatshops.
That said, we’d like to introduce to you our Collegiate Partnership Box program, which is composed of two different types of pre-selected boxes: On-Campus boxes and Off-Campus boxes.
A Collegiate Partnership Box requires only a 25% initial deposit (we know how tough it can be to pull together a lot of money) and you get a 20% discount on the items to use for your own cause.

Signing Up
Once you choose which Collegiate Partnership Box(es) you would like to purchase (you can view the different options here), download the Partnership Box Agreement here, fill it out, and mail it in along with your deposit. Once we receive your order, we’ll send you a confirmation e-mail and get your box shipped to you within a few weeks.
Tips for Ordering
We suggest that you start planning for your box 6 weeks in advance. PJT cannot fill or ship out your box until we have received your Partnership Box Agreement and prepayment. Thus, 6 weeks gives you plenty of time to return these and allows PJT time to fill and ship your order.
Shipping
All pre-selected Collegiate Partnership Boxes receive free shipping.
Final Payment
Along with your boxes, you will receive an invoice for the total payment (minus the 25% pre-payment) and, if appropriate, the shipping costs. Payment to PJT (in one single check made payable to Partners for Just Trade) is due within 60 days.

- First, decide whether you will be selling the artisan products to fellow college students on your campus or if you will be doing fundraising outside campus to a wider variety of people of all ages.
- There are two types of collegiate partnership boxes: Campus Boxes and Off-Campus Boxes. If you will be selling products on campus, pick between the three sizes of Campus Boxes. For individuals wishing to sell products outside campus, such as to congregations or people within your organization, choose the quantity of Off-Campus Boxes you will need (these come in only one size).
- The items you receive in the box will
all be priced and ready to sell. PJT gives
you a 20% discount on the goods that you
purchase (but will not take back
returns).
- For example, let’s say you order the medium sized Campus Box that totals $1057: you only pay $845.60 for the box and the profit - $211.40 once you've sold everything in your box - is for your place of worship, school, or community group to donate to any worthy project (including your own fundraising efforts!).
